Ian MacKinnon has been the Director representing Inverness County for a number of years. He is the Fire Chief of the Port Hastings Fire Department and has served in the fire service for over forty years. At present he is the President of the Strait Area Mutual Aid Association. He has sat on a number of committees for FSANS and is presently the Chairperson for the annual conference held in 2007 and serves on the Nova Scotia Public Safety Communication Committee. Ian is the contact person for the ICS Western end of Cape Breton Island. He has been quite active in other community affairs in Port Hastings.
