Paul MacCormick has been a Deputy Fire Marshal since 1987 working from the regional office in Sydney. Paul has direct responsibility for Inverness, Richmond & Victoria counties providing advice to the public, and conducting inspections and investigations. He is a certified fire and explosion investigatior and a level 2 fire service instructor.

Paul is also a proud member of the Sydney Mines Vol. Fire Department and has held many positions with that department since he first joined in 1975. He is presently Deputy Fire Chief. Over the years Paul has been a member of many fire service related associations such as the Maritime Fire Chiefs, New York State Association of Fire Chiefs & The Fire Inspectors Association of Nova Scotia to name a few.
